110 Years Strong

We’re a few days late, but the Pushmataha County Chamber is excited to announce that our August Business of the Month is Sharpe’s Department Store! We’re looking forward to celebrating Sharpe’s this month!

Did you know that Sharpe’s began as Sharpe’s Dry Goods in 1913 in Checotah by “Bummy” Sharpe? His goal was to sell the highest quality goods at the best possible prices. Over the last 110 YEARS (that’s so long!), they’ve grown to 24 locations in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, and Louisiana. Sharpe’s is one of the oldest family-owned businesses in the state, going on their 4th generation now.
